COMMENTARY TEMPLATE FOR STATIC IMAGES USE THIS ONE:Year 11 Static Image
During the last three weeks of this term, students begin their first NCEA English Assessment. This project gives learners the opportunity to acquire 10 NCEA credits over this term.
AS 1.9 - Students will carry out an investigation, record their findings and make judgements. This Achievement Standard is worth 3 NCEA credits at either: Achieved, Merit or Excellence level.
US 2977 - Students will read text for practical purposes. This Unit Standard is worth 4 NCEA credits at Achieved level. (It is suggested that learners could reflect on the value and information of texts associated with their research topic. They will still be expected to follow the US 2977 criteria in responding to their reading for practical purposes.
US 10792 - Students will write formal personal correspondence. This Unit Standard is worth 3 NCEA credits at Achieved level. (It is suggested that during the research, learners will correspond with outside agencies/individuals to ask for information about their topic through formal letter and email.)
